We have been hearing to many albums produced by the Indian Playback singer K.S.Chithra through her own music label "Audiotracs". Always the musical genius, Sharreth composes the album and sings some of them. We have heard to Veppilai Vaasam, Avani, Piya Basanthi , Piya Basanthi Again, Ustad & Divas, Lullaby Of Hope which featured the veteran Chithra at vocals, here also she has contributed her vocals to the album along with Shareeth.

They never fail to steel our hearts, so happens here. But this time they have come up with a different genre- Social Awareness. They have planned to educate people through this album. The major problem of now'a'days is pollution and destruction of natural resources. Our Earth is getting polluted day by day due to various activities of Humans. We have been extracting the natural resources like petrol, water, coal, gold, other precious gems etc etc from the Mother Earth, & never found time to replace it back. Earth has given so many things like trees, edibles, water and yet continues to give untill certain period of time. We have been using all those resources and have never got time to repay it back. Everyone should participate in social debates, plant more trees, never destroy the nature knowingly & etc.

So to create awareness about this problem, the Audiotracs have come up with this album. Their main moto towards releasing this album is to educate people about nature and its importance blended with music. So let us see what Chithra ji and Shareeth ji did to this album.

01. The Birth

Singers: K.S.Chithra & Shareeth
Length: 13:25
Rating: 5/5

Description: This track depicts the birth of Earth and its origin. It also describes the beauty of this incredible world created by the almighty(almighty is someone who has created this world, you & me & everything- he belongs to no religion). The song is set in utmost beauty which aptly picturize  the amazing landscape of the world. While listening to this song, you will never think that you are alive, but you will be in some ethereal state, such is the feel. One who is listening to this feels as if he is watching marvelous creations of nature like waterfalls, lakes, forests, landscapes etc. So the song included everything that could create such an impact on listeners. Hats off to Shareeth, for composing and singing the outstanding stuff. The flute was a pleasure to listen, mridangam sounded as feast for ears and the divine feel was listening to Chithra's voice. Her voice was an esset to the song. She sounded angelic and Shareeth sounded as musical genius, this is nothing  new for either of them. The surgum portions by Chithra and Shareeth are dangerous, which could be sung only by both of them. Hats off Chechi and Chetta.

02. Oh! Beautiful Earth

Singers: K.S.Chithra & Shareeth
Length: 11:36
Rating: 3.5/5

Description: This track describes our beautiful Earth which features amazing landscapes and wonderful stuff to support life. This track also highlights the plea to save our planet, as its the only source which supports life in our entire universe. This track starts with a sloka in sanskrit about mother Earth crooned by Chithra in classical manner. Chithraji sounds legendary, she sings this track in a classical manner changing the usual way of singing. This proves her versatility in singing carnatic and film songs. Shareeth as usual sounds out standing. The race between mridamgam, tabla & drum interlude sounded ferocious. Overall song was good, but lies on boring side as it goes on looping the sloka with so many interludes. Either Chithra or Shareeth croons the sloka after a interlude and in between their would be surgums or race between instruments. Whole 11 minutes is filled with these elements only. Purely depending on these  elements till 11 minutes takes away the listeners patience or interest, so song was not that appealing irrespective to Chithra's and Shareeth's out standing performances.

03. Thandav

Singers: K.S.Chithra, Shareeth & Chorus
Length: 10:37
Rating: 4.5/5

Description: This Song narrates the anger of Mother Earth regarding the destruction of the natural resources and creating helplessness all over through ferocious instrumentation and surgums spitting fumes of anger. One who listens to this track should really realize the need to save our planet and not to destroy our own home through our annoying actions like cutting away forests, increasing the usage of  refrigirators, AC's, computers etc which are all sources for destroying the Earth. This song has no lyric, but Shareeth has composed in such a way that it creates an image of vandalism and destruction of Earth through human activities. This song is like a Shiv thandav of Earth proving our acts are wrong and there is an urgent need to replace our cruel actions towards Mother Earth. Chithra perfectly sets to the tee. She was as furious as sun, describing the situation of Earth. Shareeth and choral group gave an out standing support to the legends show. Hats off to everyone who created this.

04. Shanthi

Singers: K.S.Chithra & Shareeth
Length: 10:53
Rating: 5/5

Description: The album ends with a song expecting  and hoping a change from all of us. It pleas to save our nature, educate our selves about growing environmental problems and find solutions for all those cruel acts which is in our hands itself. Everyone should feel proud about our Earth, plant more trees and be a cause for its well being and never vandalize its natural resources nor its extreme beauty. The song ends with a hope for change in human behaviour and to learn about increasing global warming and green house effects. The description was too good and the song was too good. Its so nice of Shareeth, to prove that music has capability of creating all sorts of affects. This song had a sanskrit sloka in the beginning sung by Chithraji and then it was followed by surgums and instrumentation leading to various emotions. The surgum in between of the song which was like a race between Chithraji and Shareeth sounded angelic. Shareeth used flute all over the song to create a divine feel. Chithraji sounded soulful, her voice was in high quality and clarity. The song ends with another sanskrit sloka praising the Earth for making life possible and pleas to save the earth and at last Chithraji ends the song chanting "Om Shanthi..Shanthi..Shanthi" hoping non-violence in future.

Picks Of The Album: Entire Album

OVERALL RATING: 9/10

Remarks: This album created all the things that could create a revolutionary impact on people against the human actions destructing our Mother Earth, it depicts the responsibility of every individual in taking part for saving the nature. Mobiles, computers, fridges, TV's, AC's etc have become common part of our daily life, which are harmful to nature, as we cannot avoid them, we should atleast plant trees or save nature in respect of our Earth. Shareeth and Chithra are always amazing and here also they have created a very strong impact. Chithraji, my personnel favorite never fails in stealing my heart with her expressive renditions. Let her go on sing and sing till I become deaf. She has such dedication towards music, and no doubt in saying as India's one of the very finest singer. Shareeth known as musical genius ropes with Melody queen of Indian cinema everytime, to create something new and every time entertains the listeners. Let them work more and more, let us expect more and more from them.
