Movie: RRR- 2022
Director: S. S. Rajamouli
Producer: DVV
Cast: Ramcharan, NTR, Alia Bhatt & others
Music: M. M. Keeravani
Music Lable: Lahari Music
RRR- the star flooded pan Indian film is slated to release on 25th March, 2022 after many postponements & put backs. Finally, the much much anticipated movie is getting released & all are happy for it. "Rajamouli as director & Ram Charan & NTR in lead roles"!! That phrase itself is making me go out of breath. All are excited & are eagerly waiting for the film. Every detail about the film is a bigger announcement, it is reaching heights. I needn't talk anymore, you'll know what it is upto.
M. M. Keeravani, like all Rajamouli films gets to compose the songs & score. I cannot say it is yet again another Baahubali kind score, but nothing can be given a rock-bottom or atleast cannot turn a blind eye. I'am confident, it is Keeravani & his music never fails to impress, he knows the standards, he'll fit it to where it belongs.

RRR being a Pan-Indian film got all kinds of music listings in. Film had 4 songs, with 1 instrumental & 2 other promotional kind songs. According to me, music of this film cannot get any better. It is upto the mark, as per the backdrop. If people expected more, than that is not the units' responsibility to take it to what you'll dreamt of. In the past, every Keeravani's album was a rage & mostly because of the singers & lyricists. It was always SPB & Chitra at vocals, Veturi gaaru or Sastry gaaru at lyrics, so were the songs. But now, we don't' have any of them present except Chitra to do the essentials. I think that is the reason why even when we have excellent stuff made by composers still the songs are falling in the wake of non-fullfillment.
01. Dosti Song
Vocalists: Hemachandra & Chorus
Lyricist: 'Late' Sirivennala Seetharama Sastry Gaaru
Rating: 4/5
The first song reveals much of the plot. It directly or indirectly picturizes the characters in the film of "Ram" & "Bheem" portrayed by Ramcharan & NTR respectively. It is not a variety of song in terms of composition but cannot deny the fact that it has given spine chills. Keeravani absolutely rocked the song with his kind of template interludes & haunting chorus. This song was sung by different singers in different languages, but Telugu version sounds too good. Maybe Sastry gaau's lyrics make it a sterling track. The way he brings in the polarity between those two characters is something to long for with this song.
"రక్షణ -మృత్యువిలాసం , తూర్పు- పడమర , దారుణ శస్త్రం - మారణ శాస్త్రం , ప్రచంఢ యుద్ధమే జరగదా " !! CLAPS- HATSOFF. Look at the selection of words, how Sastry Gaaru sketches the two contrary characters with ease. Very sad that we wont be able to listen to such lyrics again, he's no more, & this is one among his last'. Sastry gaaru your contributions are inevitable. Thankyou for happeing to us, we'll be forever be indebted to you.
Overall a very well made song with finest vocals, lyrics & music.

02. Roar Of RRR
Vocalists: Blaaze & Chorus
Lyricist: Aditya Iyenger & Blaaze
Rating: 2.5/5
A rap kind of song, taking us through a ride to the world of RRR. Used as an anthem for their making video, seems good. Blaaze does fine. Nothing much about the song.
03. Naatu Naatu
Vocalists: Raahul Sipligunj & Kaala Bhairava
Lyricist: Chandrabose
Rating: 3/5
This song already setting trends in the social media, is reaching & already reached heights. If not for the hype, this is just a mediocre song according to a music buff. Naatu Naatu is a hyper dance number set in obligations with NTR & Ramcharan's grace with their powerful dance moves. they'll set the stages with fire, no doubt. Vocalists do a commendable job. Raahul's voice is extraordinary. Chandrabose plays safe, but hasn't done any astounding job. The beats are formulated, beaten in accordance to Keeravani' template. As mentioned, if not for the hype, this is just a mediocre song.
04. Komaram Bheemudo
Vocalists: Kaala Bhairava
Lyricist: Ashok Tej Suddhala
Rating: 4.5/5
This song moved me into tears. An anthem attributed to Bheem with respect to his characterization & his community (Gond tribal). Ashok Suddhala's lyrics indicate some affray & melancholy aftermath a massacre & that is the touching part of the entire song. Keeravani's composition will please one's ears. Kaala Bhairava the chariot of the song, drives the entire weight with ease, his expressions, tuning, pitch everything are perfect. Though the song appers to be an inspiration from a Telangana folk song composed by Gaddar, this song cannot be any better or I will'nt easily conclude saying at as "Plagiarism" or "Copy", though tune was inspired, Keeravani had his stamp & essence glassy on it. In & out, a song that I loved a lot in almost all recent times.
05. Raamam Raghuraamam
Vocalists: Vijay Prakash, Charu Hariharan, Chandana Bala Kalyan & Chorus
Lyricists: K. Shiva Dutta & M. M. Keeravani
Rating: 2.5/5
This is a separate song attributed to the character Ram & his developments with the film. I think there is a lot of story around these two characters- Ram & Bheem, so the songs. Every song is related to them, don't know what the film has for us in store- let's just wait & watch. This song is a classical fusion with western orchestration. Appears like a promotional song, will take a lot of time for all the masses to understand this song. Vocalists should be lauded, they sound brilliant. But, song could have bee better, while keeping the movie perspective in mind.
06. Janani
Vocalists: M. M. Keeravani & Chorus
Lyricists: M. M. Keeravani
Rating: 3.5/5
The anthem of RRR is here, like in Baahubali, this film too has a theme song for the film. I felt so emotional once again listening to the number, Keeravani's lyrics & vocals both evoke the spirit of freedom & patriotism. I think this song will elevate some crucial situations in the film. Just waiting for the film.
07. Ethhara Jenda
Vocalists: M. M. Keeravani, Vishal Mishra, Pruthvi Chandra, Harika Narayan, Saahithi Chaaganti & Chorus
Lyricists: Ramjogayaa Sastry
Rating: 4/5
One more hit number from the album & agian the last number in the album too. Probably the end credits song, all the cast members- Ramcharan, NTR & Alia Bhatt look stunning with their graceful moves. I enjoyed the song thorougly, the concept of bringing in all the great freedom fighters of India who granted us such blessed Mother Land- "India" & a song in tribute to those legends is commendable. Ramjogayya compares the fighters to "కోడె" meaning " కోడె గిత్తలు " appeared nice. Overall a song that is like celebration with few chilling moments. Keeravani does justice. But expecting a song like Punyabhoomi Naa Desham or Deshamante kind yesteryear chartbusters, will let the audience in disappointment. But, this too cannot be any better.
PICKS of the album: Komaram Bheemudo, Ethhara Jenda & Dosti
OVERALL RATING: 7/10
