R. Shekar, and movie releasing on 19 May 2017. The movie opened to good reviews and praised the movie as stylish revenge thriller.

We know that the film is creating buzz all round the box-office. The music is composed by Sunny M.R, who has composed music even for the films Swamy Ra Ra, Uyyala Jampala & Dochay. He has composed 5 powerful tracks to the film. Lets see how he has fared the songs.

01. Kaala Bhairava Ashtakam

Singers: Sathya Yamini, Adithya Iyenger, Anurag Kulkarni, Harshika Gudi, Raghuram Dhronavajjala & Sri Soumya
Lyrics: Traditional
Rating: 5/5

The first song is an energetic track using the ashtotram of  Kaala Bhairava. The energy in instrumentation and the mood carried by the songs give us goosebumps. A great song after many days. We hear these type of songs very rarely, while these genres were famous in mid 80's and 90's. Only the lyric belongs to that period, coming to instrumentation nothing reminds of old songs, a song completely owned by Sunny. Indeed a huge usage of electrical guitar, heavy drums make the song violent and amazing to carry the mood on the screen. The vocalists, 6 singers in one song is really a stunning factor!! but all the vocalists excelled at their part. Vocals were not too harsh, may be it was done wantedly to not make the song a buzz. It leaves an amazing experience as one goes through the song.

02. Telusa Neeku Bahusa

Singers: Sunny M.R & Shalmali Kholgade
Lyrics:  Krishna Chaitanya
Rating: 3.5/5

A romantic duet composed in completely different manner. All through out the song nothing sounds romantic, because it should be like that in a thriller film. Sunny was intelligent enough to make the music sound as dark and steep like the above one without deviating from the films theme. The lyrics by KC is fine, nothing new. Shalmali a marati singer who predominantly sings in hindi films. Her songs in Bombay Velvet, ABCD 2, Humpty Sharma ki Dulhaniya, Nach Meri Jaan, Welcome to Karachi etc topped the charts. Here in telugu, she has no problem with lyric but has a lot of influenze of westerns in  singing. It sounds as if she is singing english rather than telugu. But overall its a good song. Sunny was just there at the vocals to hymn something which is appears like a whisper at beginning as well as end of the song.

03. Yediste Rarevaru

Singer: Arijith Singh
Lyric: krishna Chaitanya
Rating: 5/5

A completely situational and motivational song. Sunny composes the music accordingly to the films pace again. Krishna Chaitanya's lyrics were too good in quality and encouraging, the phrases "yediste rarevaru teercharuga bhadha evaru bhadha nu uri teestaru", "gundello kangaru vivramga vindi evaru choostune untaru ante lokam theeru" sound out standing. This song requires a unique expression which should have a feel of pathos and also the feel of evoking strength out of sadness to live however leaving the society. It involves a good philosophy of life. Usually these songs were given by Seetharama sastry but now its good hearing KC writing these beautiful lines. Arijith Singh, the young voice of India, sings this song to a surprise. I generally belived that Arijith is only fit for romantic songs, but he proves he can be powerful enough in these type of genres also. But it does'nt sound like him all through out the song, may be because he opened his voice completely to match his voice to the genre. Kudos Arijith, let him make some more good songs in Telugu.

04. Po Poradi

Singer: Arijith Singh
Lyrics: Krishna Chaitanya
Rating: 4.5/5

Again a motivational song with a slight touch of emotion. Sunny provides apt music to the scene. I did'nt expect Sunny would be too good at giving music to these type of genres. The electronic guitars, heavy drums steal the show. KC again rocks at the lyrical department. Arijith gets his second song in the film, now he makes few mistakes while singing telugu, as the song required bulk of energy and he concentrated more on that. Its not known what might be the lyric here "pranam upiri naakathu antunde"??..what does nakathu mean. They should give the answer, but it is very minute and common now'a'days. But Arijith tried to sing with no mistakes almost, which was a good attempt, this shows his respect and dedication towards work, he spells words like "Uydham, Stainyam" with proper diction, which is now'a'days difficult for our telugu singers. Take a bow Arijith!!

05. Kaala Bhairava Ashtakam (Reprise)

Singers: Sathya Yamini, Harshika Gudi & Sri Soumya
Lyrics: Traditional
Rating: 5/5

This is the same song presented above with different instrumentation and tune. When there are two versions of same songs camparisions are common. The above one has dark instrumentation and giving more space to the electronic guitars and drums, but now here we have a pleasant start with recorder or flute and then again those heavy drums and guitar sounding harsh as usual, but here they have given more space to vocals without including heavy guitar interludes, the instrumentation goes along with the vocals and which is fine to hear. Both the versions sound amazing, which might work as background songs in the film. Here there are only female vocalists sounding at their best.

Picks Of The Album: Go Pick whatever you want, you have all genres with same theme and instrumentation describing and reminding the theme and script of a thriller-suspense film.

OVERALL RATING: 9.2/10

Remarks: This type of films require no music actually except heavy BGM's.  Sunny could have followed the pattern done with thriller films like Drushyam(2 songs and heavy BGM) composed by Shareeth, but Sunny went in his own way, he intellectually composed 5 songs in which almost all work as background songs giving more space to pace the films story. May Sunny emerge as a good music director and work with many commercial films and become busy.
