Nenu Local Audio Review (2017)
Movie: Nenu Local (2017)
Director: Trinadha Rao Nakkina
Cast: Nani, Keerthi Suresh
Music: Devi Sri Prasad
DSP scores music for this album, who after Khaidi No.150 is pretty high. This album offers 6 songs, off which one is a bit song so that takes to 5 full songs. Chandrabose & Srimani wrote the songs where as DSP has his standard singers to sing the songs. Lets see what did DSP do after Nenu Sailaja.
1. Next Enti
Singers: Sagar & Ranina Reddy
Lyrics: Chandrabose
Rating: 3.5/5
Lyrics: Chandrabose
Rating: 3.5/5
The album opens up with a youthful song creating trendy buzz all over the engineering students questioning "Next Enti?". Chandrabose penned the lyrics of the song making us remember some part of lyrics from "Aho Baalu" Song from "100% love" when there are refferences of Edison, Kodada etc in the song, but that only lasts till we think of lyrics otherwise when coming to DSP's instrumentation and Sagar's vocals nobody can match them. DSP proves that he is king in these type of songs, he uses different sounds make the song sound breezy and pretty cool matching Nani's youthful performance. Sagar sounds good, this time he has no vocal issues may be because of hypo tune or he has got the song of his own genere. Then at last Ranina Reddy is just there to utter one word "Next Enti?" at last. But makes people tap thier feet for sure.
2. Disturb Chesta Ninnu
Singers: Pruthvi Chandra
Lyrics: Srimani
Rating: 3.5/5
This is another song which again sounds fresh nad youthful. Nothing more to speak about this song, it may be lying in the film when hero teases the heroien. Srimani's lyrics are fine and routine. DSP uses his trademark beats adding fresh buzzy flavour, might be he uses thumba instrument to sound fresh. Pruthvi Chandra sounds similar to Adanan Samy. He has a typical voice and has some pronouncition issues, he lacks a bit clarity, but its fine for people as we are habituated to these type of mistakes nowadays. Overall its fine pretty song, but lines like "Ramunne Seetha disturb cheyakapothe, padi mandi meche Ramayanam Untunda?" sounds typical.
3. Champesave Nannu
Singers: Kapil, Sameera Bharadwaj
Lyrics: Srimani
Rating: 4/5
This is a romantic duet, a typical DSP tune. Always DSP never fails to attract audience through his peppy romantic melodies, he is the true winnwer in the song. Then, Srimani's lyrics find a scope for intresting thoughts and feel which is again typical, but lyrics for this song is ok. Coming to vocals both the singers lack energy and make it feel bored. Kapil was ok at parts and sounded good but Sameera was very frail and dull. The Violen interlude would be the highlight of the song.
4. Side Please
Singers: Javid Ali & Chorus
Lyrics: Srimani
Rating: 3/5
This is an party song depicting the theme of the film. This song has huge drum beat and energy, this type of tunes are usual for DSP, dont know how many more tunes will he make like this. Not too impressive but may grow on many repeats, but its ok for the front seaters and makes them tap their feet. Javis Ali was fine at his part. Srimani's Lyrics are routine enough.
5. Arere Yekkada
Singers: Naresh Iyer, Manisha
Lyrics: Srimani
Rating: 4.5/5
Here comes the song of the album. DSP rules out all the doubts in our mind and gives a soulful melody making Violen and Flute sound excellent. Naresh Iyer and Manisha(Paduta Teeyaga Fame) compete each other and render with extreme beauty. We cannot guess whats good in this song, DSP's tune or Singers or Lyrics or Violen, Flute Interludes. All are in perfect sync leaving romantic breeze all around. Its nice to hear Naresh Iyer with his full energy and also Manisha getting a chance in DSP's music. When we hear that solo violen it remainds Ilayaraja some where who used to deliver such extreme melodies, its just a comaparision but DSP has given his own tune which lovely. On the whole anyone should love this song.
6. Arere Yekkada (Sad Version)
Lyrics: Srimani
Rating: 4.5/5
This is a bit song of the above, which is a sad version of it. DSP has made it same like Nenu Sailaja movie pattern, 3 peppy numbers, 1 peppy melody, 1 soulful melody and 1 bit song for this album. But they have not mentioned singers name, it sounds like Shreya Ghoshal but dont think so due to its a very small bit lasting hardly 30 seconds which would not be sung by singers like Shreya.. But that 30 seconds is sure to make us emotional. DSP would have created full song and then used a bit in the film, because last time in Janata Garage with "Nee Selavadigi" sung by Shweta was too small to be enjoyed & same with "Ee premaki" from Nenu Sailaja sung by Chitra maa etc.
