We know what all Nani's films are upto, serious love stories and a slight message. This is one of that kind. All the people who watched the film would seriously rely that the film narrates a painful love story, where the emotions portrayed by lead cast would be the highlight and pick of the film.
All films of Nani will surely give the best music, whether that is Bhale Bhale Magadiyoe or Gentlemen or his earlier film ashta chamma..alll this films had wonderful music. Let us see what this 7th wonder of Nani given to us!!
This film "Ninnu Kori" title reminds of a old golden song "Ninnu Kori Varnam" composed by Mastero Ilayaraja & sung by Nightingale Chitra for the film Gharshana. There is no relation between song and film but felt the coincidence.
The Malayalam fame Gopi Sunder has been roped to this project to compose music. Now this national awardee is busy with his numerous telugu film chances also, which sounds good. Gopi's music has some good essence and magic which fulls everyone towards him. Gopi debuted his Telugu career from musical blockbuster Malli Malli Rani Roju and continued making successful films like BBM, Majnu, Oopiri, Premam,Devi, Seethamma Andalu Rammayya Sitralu etc and now Ninnu Kori. Gopi has given his 2 musical blockbusters for Nani, and now its their 3rd combo. Lets see what they have done.
Gopi composed 5 songs in 5 different genres, lets see what he has done!!
1. Ninnu Kori
Singers: Gopi Sunder
Title Track
Rating: 5/5
This is the bonus track of the film I feel, or used as a background song between the scenes in the film. But this song is a true gem, see the way Gopi Sunder has composed this song nor sung it. The instruments which are not heard recently get their reference here in this song, the tabala playing as background along with technical banjo or drum and the fusion of shehanayi with wonderful flute is a feast for ears. I did'nt get to know who penned the song, but has done a wonderful job. It just lasts for 1:51 minutes, which is disappointing. Gopi Sunder who is basically Kerlaite, has done a wonderful job in singing a Telugu song, he was accurate in his pronunciation and accent. This shows his dedication towards his work. The singers who are singing since past 10 years and don't even know how to pronounce basic words of Telugu should learn from him. The song is perfect in all aspects and is definitely one of the best one in the album. Full credits to Gopi.
2. Unnatundi Gunde
Singers: Karthik & Chinmayee
Lyrics: Ramajoggayya Sastry
Rating: 4/5
This is a cool romantic duet composed completely in Sunders's style. Gopi usually composes light hearted melodies, whether it was Majnu or Oopiri or Bhale Bhale magadiyoe. So this song is nothing new for our ears. Song has its own rhythm pattern and different orchestration in between interludes. It is pleasure listening to Karthik and Chinmayee after so many days. This song includes a rap kind of thing at the phrases "Nachina chinnadi mechina teeru" which sounds very unique in the song. Whole song sets different mood and this rap portion takes us into different feel, I don't know what made Gopi to change the pattern like that?..might be he felt that song was too slow at its pace. And Karthik did'nt sound like him at all at that rap portion, but rest was like weaving magic with his voice, its nothing new for him. And he says "seccennu ko sari" instead of "secondu ko saari", which is very very minute.
Next Chinmayee sounds completely false in her tone, why does she alter her voice? She sounds amazing when she opens her voice completely, but this singers feel like slowly crooning the song, which takes away the feel. Rest everything was fine.
Lyrics by Sastry garu are too good which makes us check the inlay card whether it was Sirivennala garu, Ramjoggayya Sastry simply made his own way in this song. Song may appeal after repeated listening.

3. Once upon a timelo
Singer: Arun Gopan
Lyrics: Bhaskarbhatla
Rating: 4/5
See how Gopi has changed the gear with this song. It is like switching on and off with genres in songs. Gopi proves with this song that he is versatile enough to handle any genre with utmost ease. This is a break up song where hero consumes alcohol and dances, which is almost common in all films and very common in Nani's films. This song gets its resemblence in Bhale Bhale Magadiyoe in "How how song", the coicidence is just with the situation in the film but not with with the tune composed by Gopi. He composed this song in completely different genre, he used all those heavy noisy drums, keyboard etc to cash the situation and mood of audience. Bhaskarbhatla nevertheless is king of this songs & stuffs with those routine english-telugu mixed words and routine phrases which always appeared in film industry. I dont know how many directors will yet create this situational songs and yet how many heroes will dance for this peppy tunes. But somehow Gopi made it quiet fresh and new. Whole song was entertaining. Arun Gopan the finalist of Idea Star Singer-2 (A top rated singing reality show in Kerala) does his job excellently. He had his own style in singing and rocked the song as usual. Bright future is waiting for him ahead. Whenever the phrases "Break up up..king lanti kumagadi lifee ye pack uppu..!!" sounded good and most entertaining.
04. Hey Badulu Cheppave
Singers: Haricharan
Lyrics: Ananta Sriram
Rating: 2.5/5
This is a melancholic song composed as usually like the song "Oorikey ala" in Majnu. The tune was almost same, but Gopi used different orchestra & even the singer was same. However this song has its own style, but completely ruined by the singer. The words written by Ananta Sriram are somewhere nears land sky's meeting point, there is no relation between one phrase and the other one. And top of that this Haricharn is just there to do blunders in the song, he took it so lite while singing the song I guess, no sentence nor word from his mouth is sung properly. You will understand why I said this , when we switch the song to second stanza, completely ruined the song. When the lyricists do not take utmost care in making the singer sing right lyric, then why are they there? Don't they want their song to be a hit? Don't know whats the matter nor reason, this song is a vain and trash, if we have to listen to this its only because of the saving grace Gopi Sunder. But this song never appealed to me.
05. Adiga Adiga
Singers: Sid Sriram
Lyricist: Srijo
Rating: 4/5
At last we come to the albums chartbuster song "adiga adiga" composed in a very unique style. This is the first song to be released with a video of Nani singing the in the video. Gopi Sunder has kept the orchestration so very minimal by giving maximum chance to the vocalist to take off the stage. Lyrics by Srijo are really good, and might find good chances in future.
Gopi remind about Rahman's music, who composes in this style, very minimal orchestra and however spilling magic all over the song, with those minimal instrumentation only. Song had very good music and lyric. Now coming to vocalist, Sid Sriram the fame of "Ennodu Nee Irundhaal" from movie "I" has sung the well, but somehow made numerous mistakes. The phrase "Adiga adiga" is completely filled with fake accent and he says "ninu kori" instead of "ninnu kori", it is "jathaga" not "jadaga", the words "nuvve", "sarigga", "sneham", "jagam", "alupu", "kadile kshanama","tana perune talicha" etc are filled with fake accent or wrong diction or wrong pronouncing. When Telugu words are not said properly it losens the nativity and takes away the feel.
Might be Gopi Sunder has given his best, Sriram has given his best, Srijo has given his best, but it dosent work when the song dosent have the right ingredient or flavour. Sid Sriram has just sung with no expression at all, the tune itself was dull which stood as saving grace. But Sriram is not a right choice to the song. His voice was very husky and sometimes it was like he has come out of the track, so frail and powerless. Karthik would have sung it well. But no issues, we all knew what its effect on present generation. Its an instant blockbuster.
