Nivas K Prassanna composed music for this film, which sounded surprisingly amazing. He composed 5 tracks and 2 instrumentals. He has been successfully composing good music from Thegidi, Sethupathi and next zero and his previous one was koothathil oruvan. So Let us see what magic he spell over this.
1. Mazhai Thooralam
Singer: Nivas K Prassanna
Lyricist: Na. Muthukumar
Rating: 4.5/5
The first track opens to our surprise with all those marching beats and drums used during investiture ceremony of police academy or some government functions. Nivas aptly used those beats as background score which worked as magic. Generally anyone expects some harsh, peppy and rocking tunes for the introduction, but very contrary to all this Nivas delivers a melodious tune superbly blended with those motivating beats. This song is a sure witness for showcasing this youngster's power. What a work man!!..hats off Nivas!!.. It is simply superb and mind blowing. Everything stood outstanding, Nivas's vocals gelled very well with the tune, his expression is simply marvelous. Nothing about this master piece. But the thing which did'nt sound well was saying "Mazhai Saindhanil" in very high pitch which sounded awkward and louder rather than being perfect in range and on note, except those four notes in the song, everything was beyond extraordinary. Na. Muthukumar's lyrics need special mention.
2. Hey Mama
Singer: Anirudh Ravichander
Lyrics: MK Balaji
Rating: 4/5
The second song is something very different from the above one. This might be a song which works as a background score for the hero to elevate some action scenes. This song goes into the genre of rap and those yo-yo songs. This song is completely aimed at youth. We youth will completely enjoy this, but I personally feel it is not necessary to use only a rap type of thing to elevate those action scenes, some other tunes can be composed. But Nivas shows his power at interludes with all those poppy , noisy instruments aptly suiting to the songs situation. MK Balaji's lyric is not of that high quality and need not mention, as it is a rap, lyric always loses its imporatnce. At last Anirudh steels the show with his powerful singing. When someone listens to this we feel its Anirudh's album rather than Niva's, that was Anirudh's domination in this song. This song instantly appeals to youth or those yo-yo guys, but appeals a bit later to those serious music lovers like me. At last I have no complaint with this song.
3. Konji Pesida
Singers: K.S.Chitra & Sriram Parthasarathy
Lyrics: Na. Muthukumar
Rating: 5/5
Third song remains as the best song of the album. Nivas composes an amazing melody filled with suitable orchestrestion which is melodious as well as modern. This cool melody takes our heart away. The interludes with those mild modern drums which sounds like mild tabala is really heart warming. The opening music bit is simply superb. Muthukumar completely rocked the stage with his beautiful & poetic lyrics. And at last how nice is it to listen to Chitra chechi in tamil song after a long time!!
When ever Chitra enters into the screen, is it necessary for any extra stuffs??..she herself completes everything with her mellifious and sweet and powerful voice. Here sriram gave an amazing support with his stunning vocals which worked as icing on a cake.
Chitra entered the song like a boom!! and completed the song with a beautiful expression at last which would really melt away our heart. It is amazing to watch her compete with this young generation with huge perfection and ease. And it is no surprise that she has won a SIIMA 2017 award and a filmfare south 2017 nomination for this cool romantic duet.

4. Hawa Hawa
Singers: Karthik & Saindhavi
Lyrics: Na. Muthukumar
Rating: 4/5
This is another amazing cool romantic duet. Nivas as usual gave one more beautiful romantic duet filled with only melody. Listen to that interlude led with tabala & voilen which sounded like wedding band. Song is nothing except two words "Hawa Hawa" crooned superbly by singers, chorus & instruments. It is so nice to hear Karthik & Saindhavi sing in complete sink, which is a pleasant task for our ears. Iam sure it makes you sleep whenever you feel sleepless. Karthik's voice is evergreen and goes in complete swing, he has rendered this with apt perfection. His voice was so sweet and soothing. Saindhavi gave an amazing support with her husky vocals.
5. Thaeen Kootil
Singers: V.M.Mahalingam
Lyricists: Na. Muthukumar
Rating: 4/5
The fifth track is a melancholic song which almost appears in all movies with this type of genre. This melancholic song is sung by Mahalingam with high expression and feel. Mahalingam is the perfect tee to the song. The range he possesed is simply outstanding, his range and note were exactly on the hit. This shows his utmost dedication towards the song. However its a short piece lasting upto 3 minutes. His voice is peculiar and reminds me off Ilayarajaji's voice, which is dark and steep like this. Nivas composes nothing new, this song resembles one of the popular song of Rahman "Vidai Kodu Engal Naade" from Kannathil Muthamittal. Its just a comparison. Whole credit goes to Mahalingam.

6. Konji Pesida Karoke version
Instrumental
Rating: 5/5
This is the karoke of konji pesida vennam song with few adjustments. This sounds sweet and neat. The flute, violen, drums sound so soothing and cute like that huming in Chitra's ethereal voice.
7. Hey Mama Karoke Version
Singers: Anirudh & Nivas
Rating: 4.5/5
This again karoke of Hey Mama with few adjustments. These karoke's let us know the importance of music in songs and beauty of a song without vocals. In between of the song we hear Anirudh and Nivas shouting " Hey Mama u wanna hate me" and an english rap induced with police car siren. I felt this was better then the song, because it elevated the importance of instruments in the song. And at last there is a mass beat played all over which is sure to make you dance. The mixture of all elements i.e. all instruments, vocals etc coming together was good.
