Jawaan also known as Jawaan : Intikokkadu is a 2017 Indian Telugu language Action film produced by Krishna on Arunachal Creations banner and directed by B.V.S.Ravi who earlier was the dialogue writer for films such as MunnaParugu and King. It stars Sai Dharam Tej and Mehreen Pirzada in the lead roles and music was composed by S. Thaman. The movie was launched on 30 January 2017. Jawaan will release on 1st December 2017.

After a huge disaster 'Nakshatram' Sai Dharam is back with Jawan, hope this becomes a hit as it has knotted the lucky stones like Dil Raju & Mehreen. Not only that Sai is one of the very promising actors of young generation & I'am sure he is gonna carry out his family's legacy very soon. Film even features Kota Srinivas garu, which is something interesting. Lets wait till tomorrow.

Thaman has been roped with the music department after Mahanubhavudu. He has composed 5 tunes, with shining names inscribed on the inlay card. Lets go look at it, how well he has fared them so far. 'Mango Music' takes away the rights for the album.

01. Jawan Title Song

Singers: Adithya , Raghuram, Saketh & Sri Krishna
Lyrics: Krishna Kanth
Rating: 4/5

The first song opens with a powerful title song sung effectively by the lead vocalists. The tune is instant catchy & foot tapping & very motivational. The lyrics are written at its core & we have heard many of these genres, but we should never get bored of it, thats what I feel, atleast if 1000 such songs come, atleast 10 people will change & our nation slowly develops. We need'nt tell that these type of songs are frequently heard & we are bored of it, let them make more & more this type of songs. Lyrics by Krishna Kanth are perfect & those Hindi lyrics in the beginning made me recollect of the song in Khushi movie- 'Yee Mera Jaha'. And coming to vocalists every one were in perfect sync, everything went out well, but I could'nt hear Sri Krishna nor Saketh anywhere, that was the sync in song, they made it perfect. Coming to the music, Thaman has again comeback to his original form, song's tune resembles 70% of 'veede veede' song in Jaya Janaki Nayaka. Beats are fine, neat not over crowded, but the first interlude was comical, there is no relation between that music & the genre. Overall the song is very good & motivational. At last did I like the song? Surely Yes.

03. Buganchuna

Singers: Sri Krishna & Lipsika
Lyrics: Shree Mani
Rating: 4.5/5

Second song is a beautiful romantic melody. Thaman completely deviated from his style & composed something very new & different without inducing his common elements like making singers sing along with the instruments or stopping the singers & playing instruments or crowded orchestration. None of the above elements find their existence, & song sounds amazing. The beautiful violin sounds more & more romantic. The tune is on the 7th heaven, very mellifluous & neat. Now'a'days we need'nt care about the tune, b'coz there will come nothing new in it, whether it is DSP or Thaman or Anup or anyone else, the same tune fixing to the genre & mixing it with lyrics, that's it. We need to check just whether everything went on fine in the song & award the mark. Putting all this apart, Sri Krishna the true winner made us remember that he will always sound soothing whatever it might be. Lipsika sings everything in falsetto for the lower notes surprisingly, what makes this females croon songs in husky vocals? they must know, nothing sounds better in such a improvised tone, they must realize that only some songs need that expression & it dose'nt suit to the others. What ever it is, everything was fine, neat & melodious. Did I like the song? Amazingly yes!! Loved It!!

                                                                       'Sri Krishna'

03. Bangaaru

Singers: Deepu & Raashi Khanna
Lyrics: Bhaskara Bhatla
Rating: 3/5

This is one more romantic-peppy number. I did'nt understand whats the real need to get Raashi Khanna at the vocals when she is no where related to the film, whats that fascination over getting some other non-singer for this singing, dont we have enough singers who could give their vocals for this track? Thaman must answer it. However Raashi sounded angelic & we heard her singing some songs in her interviews, but I feel there is no such necessity to avoid our own singers & bring some one else. When the auto tuner is switched on there is no wonder whether it is Raashi Khanna / Suma Kanakala or if it is u or me singing the song. Apart from all these no offence to Raashi Khanna, she has done an amazing job. Deepu went on fine, but auto tuner for his voice did'nt gel in the song. The way 'Bangaaru' was said, is always perfect & good. Lyrics by Mani are fine. Music from Thaman is again fine. At last did I like this? Probably yes, but may work on repeated loops.

                                                                     'Raashi Khanna'

04. Auvnana Kaadana

Singers: Shreya Ghoshal & S.S.Thaman
Lyrics: Krishna Kanth
Rating: 4/5

One more romantic duet. Lyrics by Krishna Kanth made me go bonkers about it. I have nothing to speak about its lyrics. Coming to music, the arrangement of the song is'nt that pleasing. More over that Thaman himself singing the song made it fall on lower note, he is not a professional singer & he should'nt do what he is not good at. It irritates alot when the music director himself spoils the song, he is even singing wrong lyrics at places, he is struggling to sing Telugu literally, the word 'lla' should sound 'lla' only but not 'la' , otherwise the nativity is gone, & here Thaman has curbed the nativity in the song. The opening note in falcetto sounded too bad. Coming to Shreya Ghoshal, she is the princess off screen, what a singing? what an expression? mam take a bow. The effect on 'ayomayam' by Shreya showcased her prowess. The tabla beats & mellifluous flute along with Shreya's vocals are divine to listen. Though the opening phrase in the first stanza is uttered wrong, we can overlook that micro thing for her exceptional singing. Loved her voice. At last if this song should be heard it is only for the sake of Krishna's lyrics, Shreya's melodious singing & beautiful orchestration. If Thaman is avoided in the song might get 5/5.

                                                                   'Shreya Ghoshal'

05. Bomma Adirindi

Singers: Saketh & Mohana Bhogaraju
Lyrics: Bhaskarabhatla
Rating: 4.5/5

I was wondering at the beginning, its a Thaman's album, that to a Telugu commercial film with a star hero & there is no mass song yet & contrary to my expectations here comes that mass number. A routine mass song, but not at all in Thaman's style, he has done a great job in deviating from his style & creating new tunes. The tune is catchy & foot tapping, I remember those out & out mass songs by Manisharma & Keeravani, which would be in this style. I actually love that style mass songs, a song with Telugu nativity, mass beats, folk beats make us etch them in our hearts, & this is surely such song. That heavy beats, Shehnai makes it more special. Singing by both singers is good. Lyrics by Bhaskar are routine, not very catchy.

Picks Of The Album: Whole Album except Thaman's singing.

OVERALL RATING: 8/10

Remarks: Thaman has changed alot in terms of music & this is the result after his change over. A good album from his side. ATB to the whole team of SDT & Jawan. Go watch the film tomorrow DEC 1, & hope it becomes a great film for every one.
