01. Sainika

Singers: Vishal Dadlani
Lyrics: Ramjogayya Sastry
Rating: 4.5/5

This is the powerful intro song of the hero, which gives a glimpse about our 'Hero Soldier'. The song is too powerful and electrifying, setting the expectations high. The song is sung in praise of our mighty soldiers who serve our nation irrespective of their individuality, desires and relations. I think yet we fall short in words to describe the sacrifice of our great soldiers towards our nation's welfare, though we have numerous songs about them. This song is like a tribute to the 'SOLDIERS'. The music is perfect, it was goose bumping and thumping, aptly suiting to the situation. Coming to lyrics, Ramjogayya took a turn and wrote some variety parts, which clicked on very well, especially the second stanza stands as a proof for his literary skills. 'Pusthelu lekka pettave oo sainika' is a phrase which needs to be highlighted and needs a mention. Atlast we can leave a statement 'great work by Ramjoggayya'. Coming to singing, Vishal falls flat in singing this song, we need a singer like Shankar Mahadevan who could emote well, and that would be the required element in the song, where Vishal just brought some harsh ferociousness in his voice, which did'nt serve the need. At last ' A well made song'.

02. Lover Also Fighter Also

Singers: Shekhar Ravijani
Lyrics: Ramjogayya Sastry
Rating: 3/5

This is a fun ridden male solo, which is quite common in almost all the films. Here Vishal & Shekhar brought some great tune and catchy instrumentation, but failed terribly in extracting some worthy lyrics nor vocals. Both lyrics and vocals fall flat. Shekhar himself singing the song, is something awkward. He might be good in Hindi, but sounded dumb in Telugu, the way he sang 'Also' irritates alot. Rest was just ok. Coming to lyrics, this Ramjogayya Sastry came back to his inconsistent form, which is the major draw back in him. When he mixes those English words with Telugu they become creepy like all other songs of his, and this is no where expception. What all he wrote in this song, OMG!! it just made me quit the song immediately. Whole lyric is a trash, he induced words like' Kottinattuga soodake, sitti gundeke sotta pettake, no seppi kursunna, lighter, fighter, lover' etc, everything is a trash, which gained nothing. A good tune absolutely wasted by the lyricist and the singer.

03. Beautiful Love

Singers: Armaan Malik & Chaitra Ambadipudi
Lyrics: Sirivennala Seetharama Ssatry
Rating: 5/5

This is a beautiful romantic duet, which may give a great sigh of relief after tremendous scenes in the movie. The tune is so well set, with some great instrumentation. Vishal & Shekar deserve a mention for this cool tune, which is instantly catchy. Coming to the vocals, Armaan is a good choice and has done 100% justice to the song.  Armaan says it as kada instead of katha, that's it rest everything was fine.

Chaitra too did well, but was squeaky which did'nt gel that well with the song. Sound of Sunitha or Shreya Ghoshal would sound apt for this song. The chorus and harmony at last is a treat for the ears. Coming to the lyrics, young lyricists should learn from Seetharama Sastry garu, how to pen youthful melodies like this. Sastry garu proves why he has been a legend . Whole song gave a great excitement, every line was perfectly penned. The phrases ' Naalo mounam vinnava?, kannu bomma villetti sootiga naataga sumasaram, mana prema pravaham manoharam' purely Sastry garu's things. A great song indeed.

04. Maaya

Singers: Arijith Singh & Ramya Behra
Lyrics: Ramjogayya Sastry
Rating: 5/5

This is again a cool romantic male solo with folk touch, statement is awkward but song sounds amazing. Vishal & Shekhar again need a mention for this beautiful composition. The instrumentation rocks and stikes the right chord. The mixing of folk beats and fusing of melody sounded really great. Ramjogayya this time played safe, with some quite interesting lyrics, which had many Hindi phrases as demanded by the director, as this song would be set up in a camp fire backdrop. Next upto vocals, Arijith needs no intro, the magic is in his voice, sounded comfortable in Telugu as most of the phrases were in Hindi. Ramya Behra is a sure mention, her voice perfectly suits to the tee.

05. Enniyalo

Singers: Malavika & Chorus
Lyrics: Ramjogayya Sastry
Rating: 5/5

This is a short bit song, which is sung in festive spirit taking the name of 'Lord Krishna' which seems amazing. Lyrics were apt, vocals were fine, music sounded marvelous. Again Vishal & Shekhar need a mention for this rustic composition. I guess this is sung when the soldier son returns home after a long gap and mother sings in merry filled sorrow, Which is emotional at parts. Chorus too sounded good.

06. Iraga Iraga

Singers: Rahul Sipligunj & Mohana Bhogaraju
Lyrics: Ramjogayya Sastry
Rating: 4.5/5

This is an out and out mass song, which is a must in all Telugu films. This is the song for which fans embrace on. Again Vishal-Shekhar rocked as usual, with their beats, the interlude at last lets Allu Arjun set the stage on fire with his amazing steps, eagerly waiting for that moment. Singers were absolutely fine and energetic, they rocked with their vocals. But the thing which fell apart was the lyrical part, as usaul Ramjogayya went with his creepy lyrics, what does 'Iraga iraga' mean, if needed it is 'iragatessadu' or something like that but will someone say 'pilaga nuvvu iraga iraga', that means the man is broken??!! baseless phrases by great lyricist. But this would be fine for fans.

Pick Of The Album: Everything except 'Lover Also' and 'Ramjogayya Sastry'.

OVERALL RATING: 9/10

WATCH 'NSNI' ON MAY 4. ATB TO THE ENTIRE TEAM.
