The trailer looks promising with lot of power packed action sequences depicting the hot blooded nature of college students, Vijay nails them all as it is a cake walk for him to shoot such sequences. The romance too looks quite engrossing with lead pair suiting to tee.

All music is composed by Justin Prabhakaran.

01. Neeli Kanule

Singer: Gautham Bharadwaj
Lyricist: Rehman
Rating: 3/5

First song is an haunting romantic melody which sets the mood of listeners to montage backdrops. It's such a peasant beauty to stay on it for a while. Though the tune as prelude is a rehash of some old songs yet tune sounds great . Orchestration is jaw dropping. Vocalist & Lyricist need a pat on their back for this masterpiece. Song sounds first class in malayalam, but can be enjoyed in Telugu after 2-3 attempts . Overall a perfect love ballad.

02. Kadalalle Veche

Vocalists: Sid Sriram & Aishwarya
Lyricist: Rehman
Rating: 4/5

One more intense haunting melody . This is that sensational song which is featured in the teaser. Prelude has some sinister feel but is eventually covered with high voltage percussions. Justin is just awesome . Orchestration is too brilliant. Sid Sriram, the magic is in his voice . Very often he gets to sing in Telugu, but always the drawback is his accent, but that is not at all pellucid here in this song. Kudos for him, he rocked like never before . Aishwarya too was a good support limiting herself to 2-3 phrases & a humming. Rehman has to be accoladed for these sublime phrases . Overall the tune is somewhat semi-classical & the perfect choice for the song is Sid Sriram.

- SID SRIRAM

03. Gira Gira

Vocalists: Gowtham Bharadwaj, Yamini Ghantasala & Justin Prabhakaran
Lyricist: Rehman
Rating: 4/5

This one is a rolar coaster with all emotions woven into the tune. The moment tune starts, listener will go into a trans. Instrumentation is perfect with all the traditional equipment taking the lead to give the song a perfect wedding boost. Interludes sounded brilliant, the post-lude sounds first class with the lyrics striking gold. All the credit goes to Justin for this amazing track. Coming to the vocalists, surely the young talent Yamini (Thaman's Sister) will drop your jaws with her spell bounding rendition, she sounds so perfect. Hailing from a family of musicians, it's a cake walk for her, sounds like a pro. The magic in tune is too spellbinding in her lilting voice. Gowtham was a perfect support with Justin acting as a background singer. Overall a song that stays for long, the moment you get it. the female chorus after interlude is a sure mention.

- YAMINI GHANTASALA

04. The Canteen Song

Vocalists: Karthik Roudriguez & Chorus
Lyricist: Rehman
Rating: 3/5

Here is that song which became hearthrobe of all the young VD cult's !! Justin needs a standing ovation for this number, he simply nailed it, with VD getting a new shade for his performance, Iam sure he's gonna rock the theater with his steps. The song starts with simple beats with lot of energy & enthusiasm. The orchestration is really thumping. make sure you're aware of your senses while listening to this number, coz directly you'll get a feeling of being in canteen of your college after listening to this track, such was its' impact. Completely nostalgic!! Karthik sounds perfect. Lyrics are above par. Chorus needs a pat on their back for their effort. That postlude is a sure mention.

05. Comrade Anthem

Vocalists: Vijay Devarakonda, Stany Psycho & Mc Vickey
Lyricist: Chaitanya Prasad
Rating: 3/5

This is that theme song which is gonna give goosebumps to the listeners. What would be the energy when someone utters "INQUVILAAB"!! that is the affect in this song. This theme song is really special one, coz  Superstar's Vijay Sethupathi & Dulquer Salmaan join their forces for the multilingual versions with VD getting to croon Telugu track.VD had nothing much in the song to do, but just read out some phrases & a rap kindo in b/w. He is'nt that out of form like his debut song, this sounds better in his voice. But rap sounds somewhat awkward with lot of mismatches in lyric synching to tune. The rappers sing it as "aagaadu", instead of "aagadu". That "Choopu chachhi" sounds somewhat awkward again. But overall the effect is thumping because of the instrumentation. Justin just nailed the song.Lyrics are below par.
When comparisons are drawn, Malayalam version stands out, with lot of keen in lyrics & singing. DQ sounded just like pro, he even extends his rendition by singing that rap along with those rappers , standing no where low to them. VD makes his part pellucid when he sings that phrase "Comrade okkade". However a neat song, that stays for a while.

06. O Kalala Kathala

Vocalists: Sathyaprakash & Chinmayi
Lyricist: Rehman
Rating: 3/5

This is one more insane haunting montage number with lot of energy & melody. Almost all the songs in the film are situational here, lyrics are thought provoking with lot of intensity in them. Orchestration tells us what the song is all about, Justin is just perfect. Sathyaprakash as usually does his best, his voice itself is magical & Chinmayi supporting the lead vocalist added mode weight to the song. That mallu styled kolatam beats & chorus in interlude is breath taking. Overall a neat song performed very well.

07. Mama Choodaro

Vocalists: Naresh Iyer & Chorus
Lyricist: Rehman
Rating: 3/5

This is that peppy wedding number which is very neatly performed by VD in the film, his style, grace & dance everything made audience go bonkers in theaters. Coming to the song, one might feel Naresh Iyer is a mismatch in the song, but definitely he isn't , once the first stanza starts one will understand why he has been drawn on to the board. He sounds amazing, it's nice listening to him after many days. That orchestration & Shehnayi with lilting chorale not again, listen to them again & again , coz very rarely we will get an opportunity to listen to this type of masterpieces. All credit to Justin.

08. Yetu Pone

Vocalists: Kaala Bhairava
Lyricist: KK
Rating: 4/5

We have a break up song here which is on top notch. All the elements on the song strike gold, starting it from tune to rendition to lyrics to orchestration to picturization, everything go in hand in hand resulting in bliss. Song sounds ethereal , KK's lyrics are absolutely brilliant, they are heart wrenching. Kaala Bhairava known for this type of songs, does this song with lot of professionalism & grace, but however had issues with high ranges, voice clarity & lyrics. Some places really listener has to be keen to understand the word, coz he lacks that amount of clarity in his voice otherwise it's a song tgat pinches our heart. Loved the stuff.
