Gaddalakonda Ganesh Audio Review- Telugu (2019)
Movie: Gaddalakonda Ganesh- 2019
Director: Harish Shankar
Cast: Varun Tej & Pooja Hegde
Music Director: Mickey J Meyer
Music Label: Aditya Music
"Vaalmiki" which was the initial title of the film , later changed to "Gaddalakonda Ganesh" is the recently released Telugu movie which is receiving positive reviews for the different story plot & splendid work of Varun Tej. Harish Shankar usually known for controversial statements, makes something different with the title of the film & that didn't gel well with audience, so then there comes a change in the title of the film right before few hours of release.
If not for all these, Mickey J Meyer composes music to the film, with 3 direct songs & one remix. So, now let's fare the album right away.
01. Jarra Jarra
Vocalists; Anurag Kulkarni & Uma Neha
Lyricist: Bhaskara Bhatla

The first song which was released & might be the most entertaining one in the album too. Mickey known for his mellifluous compositions, surprises everyone with this energetic number yet does this with flying colours out. He's such a talent, always awes with his splendid instrumentation & tuning & this is no where an exception. Track is composed with such energy & spirt that it engages the listeners till the end. Those beats, percussions everything hit the right chord. Anurag Kulkarni, this voice & that intensity- only he can do such wonders. He's really brilliant here, it's really astonishing that he just blends his melodious voice into Carnatic , hardcore, rock & into everything!! Uma Neha too sounds brilliant.
But here the cringe lies within the lyricist, Bhaskara Bhatla such an amazing writer but always formulates his lyrics when he's offered these mass songs. There is not at all a necessity to bring in the terms like "supperhittu , blockbuster " etc which he's really fond of.

Mickey is back to his routine, one more pleasant melody which brings back all the 80's charm. The tuning is really spellbounding. Instrumentation rocks!! Vanamaali offers something which is really sublime. Coming to the vocalists, as I told before Anurag has all the magic to transform his voice from a strict Carnatic to a hardcore rock pattern & here he goes with a peaceful melody in which he sounds not only sonorous but heavenly too. Overall a song that stays with us for a while.
03. Waka Waka
Vocalists: Anurag Kulkarni
Lyricist: Chandrabose
Rating: 3/5
Lyricist: Chandrabose

The song which sounds like a one man show- "Anurag Kulkarni". He sounds ferocious & cherubic here. All credit goes to Mickey for making him sound in different genres like this. May be this is the intro song or background song which elevates the mood of action scenes. Chandrabose does the prerequisites.
04. Yelluvochhi Godaramma
Vocalists: S. P. Balasubramaniam & ft. P.Susheela
Original Composer: K. Chakravarthy
Lyricist: Veturi

The last song of the album & the best song in the album which flashes those days of Sridevi's grace. The unit made faults while recreating this masterpiece, like before they realeased a promo of this song with Ramya Behra's voice & which garnered negative talks like virus, because the tuning nor the rendition didn't match the expectations, so the unit later decided to change the female voice & better use the original resulting in this chartbuster.
As always discussed, when someone recreates a song soul of the song shouldn't die & here Mickey tries to bring back that soul to 70% on a whole. Using the original voice of iconic Susheela gaaru marked the success of the song. This is the voice which willnt be forgotten by any Telugu language lover, this is the voice which has been the definition to the power of music, how nice it is to listen to that great legendary voice once again. Thanks to the unit. Coming to the male voice, Balu gaaru sang the song again , but as per my opinion song should be little more effective, may be due to his age factor. They would have used the entire old song or would have recorded it with effective voices. However this sounds great.
