'Syee Raa Narasimha Reddy' , also known as 'Syeeraa', is an upcoming multilngual-Telugu language film starring a huge cast including 'Megastar'Chiranjeevi, Amitab Bachhan, Sudeep Kichha, Sethupathi Vijay, Nayanathara, Tamannah, Jagapathi Babu & others directed by Surrender Reddy. To speak about, this is really a huge film for 'konidela productions' being produced by Ram charan. It's all about a freedom fighter 'Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy' set 30 years prior to India's independence, to spot out it's like a biographical epic film.

When the teaser with 'Powerstar' Pawan Kalyan's voice over was released it was a rage with #trending1 in youtube. With that positivity around they released all the different versions of teasers with Malayalam version getting 'The complete actor' Mohanlal's voice over. Later, on 22 september, the film' unit had a pre-release function at L.B.Stadium, witnessing the release of the first single. If something can be written about this film, then it becomes an endless write up, as the film had so many things to tell, so lets' all wait till oct 2, to witness the rage of Megastar.

Coming to music, initially 'A.R.Rahman' signed the project later opted out due to various reasons & then the north sensation 'Amit Trivedi' was signed on to the board. Personally, it's a national film, I know, but I expected music from Keeravani or Ilaiyaaraaja if it was'nt Rahman. But, afetr listening to the BGM in the teaser it was quite ok for the fans as well as music lovers. Now, if it's not all about this, lyrics are written by the legendary 'Sirivennla' gaaru, Chandrabose & Anantha Sriram. Let's now directly look into the album.

01. Syeeraa Title Track

Vocalists: Sunidhi Chauhan & Shreya Ghoshal
Backing Vocals: Rajiv, Arun, Suhas Swawant, Rishikesh Kamarkar, Deepthi Rage, Pragati, Arohi & Aditi Prabhudesai
Lyricist: Sirivennala Seetharama Sastry
Rating: 3/5

This title track is a thumping & rocking one with plenty of percusions & beats. Amit Trivedi proved his prowess with this rage song. That haunting chorus 'Ho ho syeeraa' keeps on looping till the end of the song giving goosebumps. Trivedi is such a talent, he just aces through the tune & orchestration too. One more highlight of the song is sastry gaaru's lyrics which result in adrenaline rush. He is just amazing, the usage of some great Telugu words makes the song a very unique one. Song is in all praises for the protagonist. It's like the king is walking and all the people are following him with chants like 'Ho Ho Ho syeeraa'. All credit to the music composer & lyricist for this great stuff.

- LYRICIST 'SEETHARAMA SASTRY'

Coming to the flaw in the track, it lies with the rendition of the song. Sunidhi Chauhan is a big creep in the song.Yes the song demands a powerhouse performance by the vocalist, that does'nt mean an alien singer can be drawn onto the board & can take away the essence of the language. When Telugu is'nt sung like Telugu it loses it's nativity. Here, Sunidhi's voice is brilliant but she sounds awkward with fake accent & a bit westernized effect, there are many words which were'nt sung properly & that become blunders in such epic films. If, not for that, within a loop or two song will instantly strike the chord with it's spirit & energy. Sunidhi sounds amazing if at all issues with singing telugu are kept  apart. Shreya Ghoshal acts as a great support to the powerhouse performance of Sunidhi. Shreya takes charge of the song with her mellifluous rendition after the second interlude. If at all Shreya was offered the whole song, it would be better, because she did complete justice to the lyrics. We have singers like Mohana bhogaraju or Chitra or Ramya Behra who can sing the song with same power & 100 times better accent , yet don't know why there is a need to bring in Sunidhi. If not for all this, this is an excellent song in terms of tuning & lyrics.

02. Jaagore Narasimha

Vocalists: Shankar Mahadevan, Haricharan , Anurag Kulkarni & Chorus
Lyricist: Sirivennala Seetharama Sastry
Backing Vocals: Rajiv, Arun, Suhas Swawant, Rishikesh Kamarkar, Deepthi Rage, Pragati, Arohi & Aditi Prabhudesai
Rating: 3/5

This is that song which celebrates the birth of the 'warrior'. This song demands a folk ting in lyrics & music & which is aptly justified by the crew members in the track. Song starts on an absolutely pleasant note & then kick starts with an heavenly chorus chanting "jaagore jaagore narasimha" literally resulting in goosebumps, then slowly a mandolin takes over with a bunch of beats coming in. Song is effectively mastered & the three vocalists do a praise worthy job with Haricharan's rendition standing out. Sirivennala garu never leaves chance to prove that he is versatile & can write any kinds effortlessly, he goes to that fourth grade & uses all those simple folk words to show that village people are singing this track. Amit's tuning too is perfect, especially the interlude where the beats take the lead role & change the pace of the song is something to mention. Overall, a well mastered song with brilliant synchronization.

03. Andam Ankitam

Vocalists: Vijay Prakash & Shahasha Tripati
Backing Vocals: Rajiv, Arun, Suhas Swawant, Rishikesh Kamarkar, Deepthi Rage, Pragati, Arohi & Aditi Prabhudesai
Lyricist: Anantha Sriram
Rating: 2/5

This is that romantic number which evokes romance in the film flaunting the chemistry b/w the lead pair. Coming to the track everything is on the false note from starting itself, neither the music nor rendition, nothing could impress. The orchestration did'nt at all gel with the rendition nor the genre of the song, when romance plays a key role in such songs & especially in these historic films, music should sound soft & sweet giving a heavenly experience. Some songs like in Jodha Akbar composed by ARR stand as a solid example to brandish how a romantic song in such films should be composed, there is no other go, people should go into that pattern & fall into his signature to get that effect, otherwise they sound dumb like this. Beats are so heavy in song, taking away the quintessence.

Coming to vocalists, both of the singers did'nt sync with each others rendition. Vijay Prakash sounded too powerful & bold with a typical bass voice giving a harsh affect to the tune, which added in taking away the soul of the song. Shahasha's husky voice did'nt help either, she sounded too awkward, might be Shreya Ghoshal would sound much better here in this song. The only saviour in the song is that heavy chorus & sublime lyrics by Anantha Sriram, some sparse Telugu words get their due in this song like, 'చకోరయానం ', 'లయయచ్ఛ ', 'ప్రియచ్ఛ ', 'వారించుతా ', 'తరించుతా ', all tgose improvisations sounded too good. At last a song that can be remembered for it's beauty in lyrics & heavenly chorus.

04. Swasalona Desame

Vocalists: Haricharan
Backing Vocals: Rajiv, Arun, Suhas Swawant & Rishikesh Kamarkar
Lyricist: Chandrabose
Rating: 2.5/5

This is the last song in the album which bids an emotional finale to that warrior who fought the battle not for his family, not for his greed , neither for himself, but who gave everything, including himself to the land- 'the motherland' which gave him an opportunity to live on & fight on for his people. Chandrabose writes his formulated lyrics, like usual he induces that philosophy which teaches life to people, yet they aren't creepy, they sound prerequisite. He says that "the warrior has thought of  his mother land in every act that he undertook, at the time when he fought his battle, at the time when he swirled his sword, even at the time when he left his last breathe too he thought of his motherland" so the lyricist praises the warrior by conferring him with the title 'Motherland'. Haricharan's rendition is awestruck, he sounds damn good & the way he presents this number with soulful expression is really jaw dropping. His rendition is surely award winning!! Overall a song that's perfect in terms of rendition & lyrics otherwise a mediocre tuning. That chorale needs a pat on their back for brilliant job.
