'Powerstar' Pawan Kalyan is back into his routine after a tire in his political journey, however anything that he does is a sensation to his fans & they are delighted to watch him on the screen again after a very long gap! Vakeel Saab is remake of succesful Hindi picture- PINK by Amitab Bachchan with lot of changes to the script matching the aura & fanbase of the protagonist! The directon team must have tried out of box experiments to this film, coz in a film with no space for songs had 3 songs here & a love story to the protagonist. There are many speculations on the success of the film, but speculations apart wishing the amazing 'Peeople's hero' Pawan Kalyan gaaru a very all the best & wishing him a very bright future too!
S. S. Thamman for the first ever time collabs with 'Pawan Kalyan' & hopefully it is a success! Film has got 5 songs with 4 of them penned by Ramjogayya Sastry & a promotional song by Ashok Suddhala. So, let's get in to the score directly! Two of the songs getting direct theater release, here is the updated review!!
01. Maguva Maguva- (Male Version)
Vocalists: Sid Sriram & Chorus
Rating: 3.5/5
A song that is written in attribution to the all the amazing women in the world. It is such a fantastic song with some sublime lyrics. Anything that is written appears small & unaccountable when written to praise the sacrifices & effort that women take in a right track. A housewife skillfully aces in managing her home, a teacher manages her students & shapes the society, a politician takes the lead step in bringing in a change in the society & what not, in which profession we do not find them & in which profession they are'nt respected. They are always to get their due & this is such song filling up their due. Ramjogayya & Thamman together rock the song, tune & lyrics both are brilliant. Sid Sriram gets his second chartbuster from Thamman, now'a'days, whenever he is singing no other song in the album is matching his glitter. Kuddos to Sriram too.
02. Sathyameva Jayathe
Vocalists: Shankar Mahadevan & Pruthvi Chandra
Rating: 2.5/5
Thamman is back to his routine along with the lyricist. This is the same old introduction or hero elevating song! I don't know if audience do not watch the film without these hypothetical or commercial elements. It is just a routine elevation song. Shanakr Mahadevan is a savior in the song, his voice makes the song a bit more effective. Absolutely the rap by Pruthvi Chandra is not at all needed, it is just like a filler. I doubt why sastry is the lead lyricist when it comes to commercial songs, coz he is a great filler, he can fill any word into any song, just like that!! Overall a passable routine stuff, if not for Pawan Kalyan, this song doesn't have any repeat value atleast!
03. Kanti Paapa
Vocalists: Armaan Maalik
Backing Vocals: Deepu, Geetha Madhuri, Saahithi, Shruthi, Haarika & Thamman
Rating: 3.5/5
A beautiful love ballad with a ting of Maguva Maguva & Anaganaga from Aravinda Sametha! Thamman has a habit of bringing the influence of his own compositions & this is no where an exception yet sounds sonorous, may be the lyrics & some brilliant orchestration make it sound as good!! Armaan's voice is already sweet like sugar, I don't understand why he makes it much more feeble & husky, giving it a feminine tone- unfortunately! I think Sid Sriram would have done much more better in this song, however Armaan did'nt have any flaws in rendering this! Geetha's rendition is something that needed a pat, she sounds stupendous, though her part was too minimal, she out stood her portion!
04. Maguva Maguva- (Female Version)
Vocalist: Mohana Bhogaraju
Rating: 3.5/5
This is the female version that comes in the critical situation in the movie & would have really moved audience into tears. Ramgojayya concentrates on the issue of women being suppressed from ages & says they are'nt given any importance & questions " Really a women's heart has got any value? does she has got any right to smile at least?" provoking everyone's thought! All the three ladies & Pawan Kalyan steel the show in the film, especially here in this song. Thamman did a fair job putting the orchestration to minimal. Mohana gets to do a 'Reddamma Thalli" kind rendition, in which she is pro though. But felt this version required some more depth & expression rather than singing it plainly like that! Song demands a voice like of Chitra to take to it to where it belongs! However a good one!
05. Kadulu Kadulu- (Special Song)
Vocalists: Sri Krishna, Hemachandra & Chorus
Lyricist: Ashok Suddhala
Rating: 3/5
This is a promotional song giving a boost up to women's confidence. Suddhala does a great job with his sublime phrases that are simple yet provoking. Singers did a quiet a good job. Overall a neatly made song!
