 Movie: Major- 2022 (మేజర్)

Director: Sashi Kiran Tikka

Producer: Mahesh Babu

Cast: Adivi Sesh, Saiee Manjekar, Prakash Raj, Revathi & Others

Music: Sri Charan Pakala

Music Label: Zee Music

"Major" the latest sensational movie that's doing rounds is garnering positive responsses & blockbuster talk all around. The bipoic of the real hero - "Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan" who sacrificed all of him for the nation during "24/11 Terror Attacks- Mumbai" is forever celebrated. This movie is an ode to that descendant of "Mother India"- Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. All of us who watched this movie had a lump in throats & tears in eyes.

Sri Charan gets to compose the score & tracks for this film too, like all Adivi Sesh's films. One can easily tell that this is one of his bests till date. Why late, let's peep in.

01. Hridayama

Vocalists: Sid Sriram
Lyricist: Krishna Kanth & VNV Ravikumar
Rating: 4/5

The beautiful love saga song that is on trend since the relaese. How beautiful is the song?!! Sricharan literally rocked. All the interludes with brimful of percussions make it sound too romantic. One is easily struck with the beauty in Sriram's voice & that is what makes this song much more magical. In and all this song is a winner- all the departments hand in hand leave us in a blissful experience. We saw the visuals too, Adivi Sesh & Saiee are a perfect fit, they look too good.
Hindi version by Jaaveed Ali & Malayalam version by Ayraan also sound great. Song's success can be attributed to the composer for sure. I enjoyed the song for sure, 'A Chartbuster'!

Singer 'Sid Sriram'

02. Oh Isha

Vocalists: Armaan Maalik & Chinmayee Sripaada
Lyricist: Rajiv Bharadwaj
Rating: 3.5/5

This is that 90's song bringing back those memories of "Old School" with a dash of retro vibe. Once again Sricharan wins with this number too. Every chord sounded too fresh & neat. Sandeeps' love for his wife during school days- is the backdrop of this song & however brilliantly executed by the team.
Armaan & Chinmayee add on much flavour too the song. However malayalam version gets backed by the vocals of Sooraj which sounds much more soothing.

03. Jana Gana Mana

Vocalists: Tojan Toby, Sricharan & Chorus
Lyricist: Rajiv Bharadwaj
Rating: 3/5

Theme of "Major"- highlighting the struggle that he underwent to put him where he belongs. The training, sincerity & dedication of this champ is a solid proof of his sucess. This film didn't bring in the concept of his death or the way he died, but rather highlighted the point- "How he lived"!
Jana Gana Mana- the true patriotic theme song too sounds gret, music though formulated to an extent- but still does great.

04. Kanna Kanna

Vocalists: Sricharan & Chitra
 Lyricist: Ramjogayya Sastry
Rating: 4/5

Sandeeps' love for his mother- is something that haunts you till the end in the entire film. But, sad part is they used only the humming in this song & not the entire song. But, this song is a treat to all the music lovers. Soothing lullaby, maybe was picturaized on Revathi- but could'nt make through final cut. Still, this song finds a place in all music lovers hearts- it is too soothing & melodious.
Sricharan kept it simple & neat, with some strong vocals in interludes sung by himself- they sound nevertheless marvelous. And, the best thing is Chitra singing this song, she sang this in all the langugaes. It is a lullaby & who else can justify it like this other than Chitra gaaru. The dynamics that she sings witn ease at her 50's- is also something to note. Overall, a mgical song. Ramjogayya's lyrics too deserve some pat.
Singer 'Chitra'
