'Waltier Veerayya' the upcoming telugu film of Megastar Chiranjeevi & Massmaharaja Raviteja is making way for this Sankranthi. Directed by K. S. Ravindra, termed as 'Pakka commercial entertainer', is sure to win the race this festive season. It's been long times getting a biggie multistarrer like this, so it's going to turn interesting. Competing along with 'Veera Simha Reddy', 'Varasudu', 'Kalyanam Kamaneeyam' & 'Thanivu', let's see which fisherman takes the fish. The trailer looks absolutely promising & confident, let's see what happens.
Music being composed by Devi Sri Prasad, & I don't know if this is gonna be a plus or minus for the film. DSP being on the lower side currently, don't know how far he's gonna impress audience. As of now, 4 songs released from the film, only 1 could impress a serious music lover & speaks about the quality of music that DSP is producing these days.
01. Boss Party
Vocalists: Devi Sri Prasad, Nakash Aziz, Haripriya & Chorus
Lyricist: Devi Sri Prasad
Rating: 1.5/5
Simply I'll term this as principle of pigeonholing. DSP literally rehashes his outdated old tunes & makes it into a new one with absolute nonsense. I don't know if rhymes could sound any better than this ! 'Nuvvu lungi etthko' etc etc, what is he trying to tell even?! My god, such a nuisance song! Some people terming it as slow poison should give appropriate reasons to justify their statements. See, we cannot compare this number to some Tamil tunes being composed by Anirudh & all, because they trend that does'nt mean they're great, at the same time they cannot be cringe too, with due to the freshness & crisp within such compositions. but, now coming to this composition, that trending signature kind beats or catchy rhythm patterns or hook lines that make us groove are misssing, or even if present it's just like formulating or cloning those strands. Being a good music lover or having ears for sensible music, commercial numbers do not impress me alot, so this song is just a cringe.
02. Sridevi Chiranjeevi
Vocalists: Jaspreeth Jaaz & Sameera Bharadwaj
Lyricist: Devi Sri Prasad
Rating: 2/5
Is something wrong with DSP?! or is he just thinking that we are just entering 2010's? Did'nt we all listen to such numbers, lyrics & tunes before? We did right! Then why again, & the most irritating thing is that Chiranjeevi shaking leg for such pull back songs. I don't even want to analyse this song, if you like such songs it is upto you.
03. Veerayya Title Song
Vocalists: Anuraag Kulkarni, Pavithra Chary & Chorus
Lyricist: Chandrabose
Rating: 3.5/5
Only & only saviour in the entire album. This tells that only if director is capable of conceiving a sensible backdrop than only we can expect some good output from the composer otherwise they sound like the previous ones. This is a powerful elevation song to the so called character 'Veerayya'. This has come out beautifully, yet not too great. Anurrag Kulkarni, the Shankar Mahadevan of today's generation is really filling that void in TFI, especially in such powerful songs. His voice is a real plus to the song, his bold voice speaks volumes of emotions. Pavithra's aalaap is also too good. DSP though gave an amazing tune, felt like replicated beats from some other songs (I don't like to mention them here), because they sound too off from his signature beats & template. Chandrabose simply complicated his lyrics with unnecessary words, this is where we miss legends like Seetharama Sastry gaaru who could just evoke the right emotion with simple yet beautiful words. Everything apart, a good song however.
Vocalist Anuraag Kulkarni 04. Poonakaalu Loading
Vocalists: Roll Rida, Ram Miryala, Chiranjeevi & Raviteja
Lyricist: Roll Rida

Is this a song? Why DSP is composing rhymes? What sort of toy is that which he used to create that unique sound which is sounding literally substandard. You can ask me, if I liked 'Vaathi Coming' then what is the problem with this number? Yes, Vaathi Coming had a signature beat that sounds fresh & crisp that is groovy, even this song had such groovy beats, but that will'nt impress due to the pigeonholing. Why do we need another Vaathi coming, original is original, we are fine with it, but why this again! Ok, I cannot go on argue along, it's upto you about liking or hating this song. But, seriously I did'nt like this song.
NO PICKS
OVERALL RATING: SUBSTANDARD- Did'nt want to give any rating!
A below par work from DSP, in my opinion- it fails!
