The most anticipated film of the town Pushpa 2 is gearing up for it's release on 05/12. Allu Arjun who has become national sensation with this film is already making huge noise with promotions & hype in the market. Pushpa 2 like the film is portraying already is a brand not just an ordinary movie - so let's see how this one fares this time & will it reach the expectations or not. 

Coming to the music like always it's Devi Sri Prasad at the helm for the music but surprisingly only for music & not the BGM. The team has brought in other top most musicians like Thamman & Sam to compose score for the film showing how they aren't compromising in terms of quality & output, let's see how this goes with the audience & fans as Pushpa - The Rise has seen great music from DSP for both songs & score, but why this move is a question to all. Let that be- but here DSP has given 4 songs & may be couple more surprises left for the theatre release & Chandrabose the solo card lyricist like usual. Let's see how the songs sound. 

01. Pushpa Pushpa

Vocalists: Nakash Aziz, Deepak Blue & Chorus 

Rating: 3/5

The typical intro song with hyper beats of DSP & almost a rehash of 'Eyy Bidda' from the previous part. No need of much discussion it's the same old elevation song that comes in the background to act as a filler for few solid action/hype sequences. DSP is making sure that the audience aren't forgetting the Pushpa flavour & kept rehashing his songs from that part itself. It's a much bigger or continuity song of Eyy Bidda song. Nakash Aziz has got a solid voice & known for these songs is doing his best. Deepak Blue acts as the chorale support in singing that haunting 'Pushpa Pushpa Pushpa' rhyme. Chandrabose gets nothing much to offer so simply writes about hero's character in the film with normal language. 

02. Sooseki 👍

Vocalists: Shreya Ghoshal & Chorus 

Rating: 4/5

"A beautiful mass love melody". The title tells about the entire song. Chandrabose brings in some old school lyrics which have too less or no life at all- they sound too atypical & stereotypic- "గొప్ప గొప్ప ఇనములనే ఇచివేసే నవాబు నన్ను మాత్రము చిన్ని చిన్ని ముద్దులుఅడిగే గరీబు, ఇట్టాంటి మంచి మొగుడు ఉంటే ఏ పిల్లైన మహారాణి" all these sound too cringe & old school without any freshness at all. I mean there isn't any magic in words, like how Sastry gaaru used to elevate such simple situations to a different altitude with very simple words & repeated expressions but yet poetic - that magic is missing in today's lyricists & their writings. 

DSP has brought some great tune this time that is already topping charts since many months & still might continue to entertain for some more time too. The template beats & his signature interlude with percussions, beats & flute is too good. Shreya Ghoshal the singing queen is back again with yet another blockbuster - her voice & this song is just a match made in heaven. Shreya is always that prominent singer in Telugu who never disappoints. Overall a well made love ballad for Srivalli. Except for Chandrabose's conventional cringe this is a great song. 

03. Kissik

Vocalists: Subhalshini & Chorus

What a stupid song?! 😂. I dunno whether to laugh or cry- it sounds too childish & immature. What is really wrong with the team?! Such poor taste in making songs. In order to make something unique the team went overboard to give a complete cringe vibe. The biggest minus point is the lyrics by Chandrabose - what he actually wants to tell? దెబ్బలు పడతాయి రో దెబ్బలు పడతాయి 😂 What a worst way to write a hook line to any song, even small children can write some worthy lyrics better than this ! I dunno how did this song qualify to be in the movie even. Though the beats are catchy & rhythm is thumping the mood of song is so off beat & lyrics are too carried away by atypical comedy lines & hook notes. 

04. Peelings

Vocalists: Shankar Babu, Laxmi Dasa & Chorus 

Rating: 2.5/5

One more crazy mass number with totally damaging lyrics. The tune is very catchy with insane beats & signature tune but lyrics are always on a get the better of side. "రోటీ పచ్చడి నువ్వు నూరినప్పుడు పైట తోటి నీ చెమట తుడిచినప్పుడు, దండాన నీ చొక్కా ఆరేసినప్పుడు నీ వొంటి వాసన తెగ గుర్తోచినప్పుడు" am afraid till what level the standard of lyrics gonna fall like this. What lyrics are they even? Dunno why team & audience are still accepting this cringe stuff. Except for that haunting Malayalam Chorus & some amazing mass template beats & music this isn't any great song at all. 

05. Gango Renuka Thalli 👍

Vocalists: Mahalingam & Chorus 

Rating: 3/5

The very much hyped Jathara song is really worth the hype. Typical DSP template beats & those amazing percussions does the magic. It's the on-screen magic & Allu Arjun's presence which makes the song much more lovable. Mahalingam back after many days to Telugu does the same old magic again with his rustic powerhouse vocals. A good song overall. 

OVERALL RATING: 4/10

Picks Of The Album: Sooseki & Gango Renuka Thalli 

This isn't the usual DSP special album but goes on to a worst album ever from Sukumar-AA-DSP-Chandrabose combination. Not even one song haunts or appeals, each has it's own default. Especially the cringy lyrics are a big blow, shows how weak the writing in situations for these songs with those atypical lyrics.
